Everyone was able to take home with them a little piece of Quebec.

    Photoblog Québécois

  • Just minutes away from downtown, Quebec City has the feeling of a ski resort. (Photo compliments of dancer Steve Feng)
  • Our biggest experience of Quebec City though, is that it's really c-c-cold... as dancer Steve Feng can attest. (My photo)
  • So cold that dancers Tony Xue (left) and Anthony Kuo are frozen stiff. (By dancer F Chun)
  • For Paris-born classical Chinese dancer Yuan Ming, this marks his third year performing in the French quarter of Canada. (If there’s no caption, I’m to blame for the photo, okay?)
  • During our few days of break around the New Year, we took dance class inside this sugar cabin in the woods. Dancer Fa Du. (By dancer and soprano Seron [Guang Ling] Chau)
  • After-class stress-relief. Group stress-relief.
  • One evening after dinner, local volunteers who organized our shows in Quebec City treated us with a uniquely Canadian dessert—maple taffy, a.k.a “sugar on snow.” (By Steve Feng)
  • After a performance in Ottawa, I snuck out into the National Arts Centre’s lobby to meet with a family friend—international human rights lawyer and Nobel Prize nominee David Kilgour. Mr. Kilgour and co-investigator David Matas authored a comprehensive report titled Bloody Harvest about organ harvesting from live Falun Gong practitioners in China that sparked global attention. Place des Arts, Montreal. Principal dancer Tony Xue prepares to lead class. (By Steve Feng)
  • Tony Xue watches over dance class. During the holiday season, classical Chinese dance is our gift to you, from underneath the Christmas tree. (The holiday season actually marks our busiest time of year, and we celebrate by working harder than the rest of the year to share our culture with people around the world. Their smiles are more than enough of a gift for us.)
  • Question: what do bowling and classical Chinese dance have in common? Dancer Seron (Guang Ling) Chau. (By Lily Wang)
  • Brunch at Paris Crêpe, downtown Montreal. (Dancers Steve Feng, left, and Yuan Ming)
  • Even well after the New Year, Christmas spirit was still in the air as we walked around Vieux Montréal (Old Montreal).
  • At the end of our mini-tour, everyone was able to take home with them a little piece of Quebec… THE END.
  • Imagine a place, where the population is Canadian, the scenery is Bavarian, everybody speaks French, and the Her Majesty the Queen of England is still head of state... These are only a few aspects of the sophisticated cultural experience that is Quebec.
