How nice Lao Tzu is Wonderful

Awesome! I wrote like 4 pages of notes, learnt more Mandarin, discovered sacred scripture from Dao Da Jing, I Ching, and even Star Wars! Here is a poem I wrote with my 9 year old son Alex. He wrote the title, lines 2 & 4. I wrote lines 1 & 3 :) Happiness As clear as ice, as pure as jade My heart feels like its being cleaned by a wave Like the knights of old we must be brave Nobody in the world can be made a slave.

Ha ha! Cool story. Not just about Star Wars but about Lao Dzu. Interesting about the connection between Taoism and Star Wars. You must have watched a bunch of it.

Fantastic article. I enjoy reading and engaging philosophy, and I enjoy Shen Yun. As such, I was really happy to see the two come together earlier this year during a Chicago performance. Great work, as always.

I watched Shen Yun in England, but had no idea you were the one who played Lao-Tzu onstage! What a lovely surprise! Recently, I was given a rather important role (not in a dance obviously), one which I don't have much experience and feel rather nervous (and excited) about. Thanks for sharing your experience of portraying this sacred character, it certainly boosts my confidence for exploring the unknown. :)
